The curriculum of Slavonic studies at the Department for Slavonic Languages and Literatures at the University of Ljubljana

In Ljubljana, the study course runs through four academic years, each year being devided into two semesters. The winter semester starts on 1 October and ends on 25 January. The summer semester starts on 15 February and ends on 5 June. There are 15 weeks in one semester.

The summer vacation lasts from 6 June to 30 September, and the winter vacation from 26 January to 15 February. Additionally, there are the Christmas break (from Christmas to 3 January) and the spring break (from 27 April to 2 May).

Slavonic studies include four programmes:

The regular course covers two programmes, whereby the students choose two programmes out of four available at the Slavonic Department, or they choose their second programme out of any available at the Filozofska fakulteta, or even at some other faculty which is compatible with the humanities of the Filozofska fakulteta. The Slovene language and literature programme can, however, be taken as an independent programme.

Course fees at the Slavonic Department in Ljubljana: 1500 DEM per academic year (9 months) or 167 DEM per month (unless the student is included in exchange programmes).
